How to make the best out of Corona Events

How to make the best out of an event in Corona time

In an era where we are used to dream big about our events and have the opportunity to realize some parts of them, some with help and some without, we are currently stuck in what I will call a "Rerouting” situation.  We may have to adjust the way we are thinking about our Big Day.
So how can you make a “Corona Event” at the best?
I will give you some tips to make your event memorable:

  • First of all, let's talk about the people you are going to miss for real, your loved ones, who are not in the country and will not be able to attend your Simcha …
Of course you have heard about Zoom and other communications systems that allow many people to gather virtually. You can put a large screen at your event and make sure that everyone is seen and sees everything and can participate outload. Make sure to prepare the setting in advance and have someone in charge of this during the event. You don't want to be dealing with "connections issues" during your big Day.
Furthermore no matter where they are in the world, you can always send them a theme gift, a little box with giveaways, food (can be ordered in every country), even a breakfast for example for a brit in a cute box, or a theme cupcake for a wedding etc.

  • Guests
Since you have to count your attendees, you will have a smaller event that you expected. But since you can only invite your closest ones, you will not be overwhelmed with people you barely know. People will not take offense not being invited since they know you can only invite a few. However you can send the Zoom link to thousands of people, who will make sure to assist ... from far away.
And you can be assured that those who physically assist will do everything to make your event memorable.

  • The location
You can choose beautiful locations you dreamed about your all life: on the beach, in a beautiful garden of a rented house, on a penthouse overlooking the city or the sea, or maybe in the house you grew up.
Even during the health crisis, a lot of places are still available for rent for your dream event. And with a little bit of negotiation skills, you can even get a great bargain.

  • The budget
Now that you don’t have to invite a lot of people out of politeness, you may have the budget to invest in a beautiful decoration: On the table, the Chuppah, a paparazzi wall etc.
The wedding cake can be amazing without being giant, because a little piece will match your event.
You can give your guests beautiful theme giveaways, have the best photographer to make a shooting session and of course, you still can be your better self, have a great makeup artist and your hair done by the finest hairdresser.

  • Many events in one
You can split your Event in a few little events and invite more people to celebrate with you.

As an example, for a wedding: a Henna/Bachelor/Bachelorette party with all your friends, the Chuppa and a few dances with the family (if you have big family), the after party with the friends, a Sheva brachote meal with your co workers.
It can be a great opportunity to have more than one decor and theme at your wedding.

  • The remake
Who never said after an event: ”I wish I could do it again!”?
Then for some of you, like weddings, Bar Mitsva evening event, you absolutely can!
Even for a Brith mila you can organize later a Seoudat Mitzva.
Of course, it will be a remake, when everything is calmer, but it will be much less stressful for you and you will enjoy both parts of your event.

So, to summarize, no matter what the conditions and restrictions are, with a little bit of planning and organization, your event will definitely be the most beautiful day in your life.

After all, you will have a less stressful and lovely event you will remember all your life.
And most important, you will have a beautiful story to tell your children and grandchildren!

Mazal tov and Good luck with the planning !!
